PUCCINI Turandot: Opera in Concert
A true event. Puccini threw everything into his final opera, a portrait of a woman at the edge of an emotional cliff. Soprano Christine Goerke, who lives and breathes this role, says Princess Turandot is driven by fear, “but desperately wants happiness.” In the end, says Stéphane, “Turandot falls in love. I believe we are always saved by love.” The classical season finale is also the final program of Amy Kaiser's 26-year tenure as director of the St. Louis Symphony Chorus.
Classical Series presented by Steward Family Foundation
