Igor Stravinsky’s electrifying Petrushka and Kendrick Lamar’s Pulitzer Prize–winning album DAMN. collide in a fearless orchestral journey with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra. This daring blend of ballet and hip-hop combines two works linked by their “show-within-a-show" structure and their protagonists’ struggle with identity, reality, and power. As Stravinsky’s puppets awaken to human emotion, Lamar’s brilliant, cinematic songs— “DNA.”, “HUMBLE.”, “LOVE.,” “XXX,” “FEAR.”, and more—unfold in sequence alongside the ballet's vivid score.
